Traveling Like A Boss
This is the first of what will be many posts about traveling like a boss. For now we just have two words:
Leading ladies. Hotel rooms are full of dry, terrible air. Dry, dry, dry terrible air.
This is the shortest article ever because all we really want to say is: Buy a travel humidifier. Amazon and Target have some really cool ones that work with a bottle of water.
Dry air is not good for you. First of all, it dries out your skin, lips, and nasal passages. Secondly, its uncomfortable. Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly,"a steady stream of research over the past few years has shown that these dry conditions seem to offer the perfect environment for the flu virus to flourish."
Flu epidemics, it turns out, almost always follow a drop in humidity. So, we're going out on a limb here, putting two and two together and positing this: The reason we so often get sick on travel is not because we're around sick people more. We think it's because the air in the planes and in the hotels is hella dry and all that dry air breeds bacteria.
So, do your whole body a favor and go over to Amazon or Target and get yourself a good travel humidifier before your next trip.
... especially if you're going out West where things are just always dry.
