Four For More
Updated: Sep 22, 2020
People ask me all the time -- I mean every day, "Where do you find the energy to do all of this <motions at my life>?"
It's true: Being a mom is exhausting. Working a full time job is pretty intense on top of it. And running a successful coaching and speaking business on top of it? It's a lot.

I won't BS you: I'm tired at the end of the day (and sometimes at the beginning), but I make the energy to do what I need to do. As Brendon Burchard says, "A power plant doesn't have energy, it generates energy." And that's what I do: I generate my energy daily, beginning with how I start my day. For me, that's a non-negotiable. My morning routine sets the tone for everything I do in my day.
If you're looking for ways to raise your energy, productivity, and overall well being, you've got to get up before your day starts. That's what I tell my clients: Own your day before your day owns you.
In addition to having a kick ass morning routine, here are Four Things You can do TODAY to give yourself the edge and energy you need to own your day.
Go outside early in the morning. It doesn’t have to be for a long time – but long enough to look and listen. Do you hear the birds and critters busily going about their day? They are doing what they were born to do! Do you see the geese flying overhead? Do you hear them honking? Do you hear the birds chirping busily? All these creatures are up, joyfully doing what they were made to do! That’s a great reminder for you too! Go do what you were made to do!
Dance. Do yourself a favor, go find the song “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige. Dance dance dance!
Practice gratitude. Ladies, you cannot be fearful and grateful at the same time. You can’t be angry and grateful at the same time. Take time every day to write down 3-5 things you’re grateful for – unique things each day. This is another game changer!
Do something nice for someone else. I cannot tell you how much it can change your perspective to start each day asking, “What can I do to surprise/delight someone else today?” Even if you just drop a note in the mail or buy someone a coffee, doing something selfless and kind for someone else can completely change your day. Be generous.
My friends, do these four things every day and I promise you, your whole life change. Dance daily. Practice gratitude. Be kind and generous. Go outside!
